An Overview of Wolf Gold by Pragmatic Play
I’m a bit of a fan of all things lupine, so this Pragmatic Play design is a howling success for me. The wolf is of course, the star in this game, with the reels running in front of a background which looks a bit like the American Wild West. I don’t want to be pedantic, but in that case they are more likely to be coyotes… In any case, there are lots of other wilderness creatures to accompany your spins. The haunting soundtrack is accompanied by a wonderful montage of wilderness noises: a constant desert wind, owl hoots, eagle cries and of course, the occasional howling wolf too.
Game Play
Wolf Gold is a standard format five reel three row game, with a maximum 25 potential winning lines. As everyone knows, despite the occasional lone wolf, this animal hunts best when in packs. So it is with this game – look out for the Stacked Wolf packs, which can bring some really big prizes. There’s even a Giant Wolf to really help you win big. As well as the Wolf himself, there are Eagles, Buffalo, Mustang Horses and Mountain Lions, plus the usual high value playing card symbols.
The Wild is the Wolf. This can substitute for all the other symbols apart from the Scatter and the Money symbol. The Scatter is a Western Wilderness Scene. This only appears on Reels 1, 3 and 5. Get all three and you will trigger five free spins. That may not sound too generous, but then for each of those spins, the three central reels spin together as one giant symbol, greatly increasing your chances of a decent win. You can also trigger more free spins during your bonus session.
The Money Symbol is the key here. This can be present on all reels, and it takes the form of a haunting Full Moon. Each also has a randomly allocated prize value. Get six or more to trigger the Money Re-spin Feature.
Bonus Features
During the Money Re-Spin Feature, only the Full Moon symbols remain, and all the other symbols fade away into the desert night. You are then awarded three free spins. Any Full moon symbols that you get during these free spins remain on your reels until the end of your session. Not only that, but each time you get a new Full Moon, the number of your re-spins is re-set to three. Your free session continues until either you fail to add any more Full Moon Symbols, or until all your reels are filled with Full Moons.
Once your session is over, all the prizes are added together and paid out. And if you do manage to get all fifteen, that pay-out will be a Mega Jackpot!
Conclusion
This atmospheric game can be soothing and relaxing if you love the outdoors and communing with nature. On the other hand, the constant action makes the main game pretty exciting, especially when you trigger the Money Re-Spin Feature. Watch out if the stack of Full Moons begins to build… the Mega Jackpot could be in sight.
